A Note from the Author: The Fellowship Begins With a Bond
When I wrote Book 03 — Of Alaya: The Storm Bringer (The Fellowship of the Seven), I felt the saga tighten into focus. Book 01 was the doorway. Book 02 raised the pressure. Book 03 is where the journey begins to form its true shape, because this is the point where the story stops being only about one warrior carrying destiny, and starts becoming about what happens when lives intertwine and remain intertwined.
This book is dedicated to something very specific: the eternal bond of siblings. Not just the biological idea of siblings, but the deeper truth behind it, the kind of connection that is forged early, tested over time, and still remains when everything else changes. Siblings are often our first companions, our first rivals, our first mirrors. They can be the ones who challenge us most, and the ones who understand us without explanation. That duality, love and friction braided together, creates a relationship unlike any other, and I wanted that emotional truth to live inside this volume.
The reason I chose this dedication for Book 03 is simple: this is the point in the saga where connection becomes a force of its own. Not power. Not prophecy. Connection. The kind that makes people show up for each other even when fear is present. The kind that turns survival into responsibility, and responsibility into loyalty. Harmonya is vast, and it will only grow larger from here, but the foundation of the entire saga is not scale. It is bond.
I often think of siblings as the first “allies” we ever meet. They can be fiercely protective and brutally honest. They celebrate our joy as if it were their own, and they hold us up when the world becomes heavy. They also remember versions of us that we sometimes forget. In a way, siblings hold a private archive of our life, a living record of where we came from and what shaped us. That’s why their presence matters. They remind us that we are not self-made, and we are not alone.
In Book 03, I wanted that feeling to echo through the story’s atmosphere. The world of Harmonya does not become dangerous only because enemies exist. It becomes dangerous because relationships become stakes. When you care for someone, every decision changes weight. The cost of action increases. The cost of inaction increases even more. That is how a saga becomes real, not by adding battles, but by making the reader understand what might be lost.
There is a particular warmth I associate with early bonds, the kind formed before anyone knows what they will become. I picture two children in a small sanctuary, laughing, arguing, dreaming, and believing the future will always be generous. That innocence is never a weakness. It is the seed of courage. It is the reason people later choose to stand when standing is hard. In Book 03, I wanted the reader to feel that warmth, because what comes later in the saga demands it. You cannot fight for a world unless you first remember what makes it worth protecting.
This is also the book where “The Fellowship” begins to feel like more than a concept. I won’t reveal plot or outcomes, but I will say this: Book 03 is where the story starts preparing the ground for unity. Not unity as an idea, but unity as a lived reality, built through trust, history, tension, and the quiet moments where someone chooses not to leave.
If Book 01 is where the saga learns to breathe, and Book 02 is where it learns the weight of pressure, then Book 03 is where it learns the most important lesson of all: no warrior survives alone, and no destiny is carried in isolation forever.
Thank you for reading, and for stepping further into Harmonya with me. If Book 03 leaves you feeling the ache and beauty of connection, then it has done what I wrote it to do.
